Cedar Corporation worked closely with the EMS staff and Director throughout the design process to address all current issues and discuss ideas that would make their new building more efficient. The facility includes a training room that can be accessible to the general public for community meetings with storage room and a corner for training equipment, a kitchen that serves the day room and training room, a day room with storage, 4 single dorm rooms and a double dorm room, private restrooms and showers, a staff / report room with reception window adjacent the apparatus bay with two private offices. The apparatus bay features 3 standard bays and one drive-through bay, storage and linen space, secure storage, and a spacious mezzanine. The exterior of the building utilizes stone, masonry, brick and metal panels and is designed to have a contemporary resemblance while blending with the adjacent neighborhood.
