2018 Annual Tax and Utility Rates
Through Cedar Corporation’s integrated service offerings, Seth Hudson, Senior Manager of Economic and Community Development Services, facilitated the passing of Act 292 allowing the Town of Cable in Bayfield County to create a tax incremental district (TID) in the same manner as a city or village. This Act passed the Assembly by voice vote and unanimously passed the Senate in a 32-0 vote and was signed into law by Governor Walker on April 16, 2018. With the passage of Act 292, the Town of Cable will be able to support and enhance the economic development opportunities in the community. Menomonie, WI, Spring 2018 — Cedar Corporation is pleased to announce multiple new hires to our company staff. Brad Carsok, Brian Chapman, James Erickson, Dave Sunde, Matthew Dorow, and Mitch Bourlin join us with many combined years of professional experience.
Brad Carsok has over 30 years of construction experience and will work out of our Green Bay office. Carsok has direct experience in a variety of major projects including water and wastewater.
Brian Chapman has joined our Menomonie office as a Senior Technician/Project Manager. Chapman brings over 30 years of civil engineering design and construction knowledge.
James Erickson has joined our Menomonie office as a Planner and is a recent graduate from UW-Eau Claire.
Dave Sunde is the newest member of our Survey Team in our Menomonie office with 24 years of experience.
Matthew Dorow has joined our Green Bay office as a Staff Engineer. Dorow joins us with 10 years of engineering experience in project management within the Green Bay area.
Mitch Bourin is the newest Technician in our Green Bay office and brings nearly 30 years of experience in the transportation industry.

Mike LaPean is a Staff Engineer in our Green Bay office. LaPean has over 15 years of experience in civil engineering.
Lynn McIntyre is a Grant Writer and Administrator in our Menomonie office with over 25 years of experience.
Kirsten Lee is an Environmental Specialist on our Environmental Team in Menomonie specializing in air and water monitoring.
Joe Coe is located in our Cedarburg office as a Technician. Coe has 20 years of experience on municipal and WisDOT projects.
Anna Beckman is a Staff Geologist on our Environmental Team in Menomonie. Beckman has taken part in a number of projects throughout the state.

Cedarburg, WI — Cedar Corporation is pleased to announce the recent opening of its newest location in Cedarburg. This location will directly serve clients in the Southeast region of the state, while collaborating with Cedar Corporation’s other offices to continue quality service throughout the Midwest. The Cedarburg office will be managed by Ron Dalton, P.E., who is joined by Bryan Greisch, and Douglas Kroes.
Ron Dalton, P.E., Director, will manage the daily operations of the Cedarburg office in addition to serving clients as a Consulting Engineer, specializing in municipal engineering. Dalton has 29 years of experience and is skilled in multiple facets of the industry including sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water distribution, urban and rural street design, and storm water management. Dalton graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Iowa.
Bryan Greisch joins the Cedarburg office as a Civil Engineering Technician. Greisch has 16 years of experience and specializes in municipal, WisDOT and private sector utility and roadway projects. Greisch graduated with an Associate Degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design from ITT Technical College.
Douglas Kroes joins the Cedarburg office as a Construction Manager. Kroes has 21 years of experience in construction management specializing in public works related projects in addition to municipal water distribution and wastewater collection. Kroes is certified as a Wastewater Operator and Waterworks Operator by the Wisconsin DNR.
The Cedarburg office, located at W61 N497 Washington Avenue, Cedarburg, Wisconsin, is open 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday, and staff can be reached at 262-204-2360. “We are excited for the newest expansion of our company with the opening of this office in Cedarburg,” says President Charlie Jones, P.E., “allowing for us to offer our services to an expanded market in this part of Wisconsin. Cedarburg is a thriving community and the area is growing. We look forward to working with communities in the area.”

Matthew Stephan, PE, has over 20 years of civil engineering experience and will serve as a Project Manager out of our Green Bay office. Stephan has a BS in Civil Engineering from Marquette University and is experienced in multiple facets of Civil Engineering including municipal engineering services along with private and commercial site design and development.
George Thompson, PE, joins us with over 25 years of experience in environmental engineering and management. Thompson has a BS in Environmental Engineering from Michigan Technological University and will serve as a Project Manager/Senior Project Engineer out of our Green Bay office. Thompson specializes in waste water treatment design and process engineering and brings experience developing and implementing programs for anaerobic digester energy centers.
Brian Genskow, EIT, has joined our Madison office as a Design Engineer with six years of design experience. Genskow has his BS in Civil Engineering from UW-Platteville and will be using his experience in highway design in our Transportation Group.
Clarissa Hoeth has joined the Civil Group in our Menomonie office as a Design Engineer after receiving her BS in Civil Engineering from UW-Platteville. Hoeth’s experience includes traffic study and design projects.
Kevin Bartel has joined our Environmental Group in the Menomonie office as a Staff Geologist. Bartel has received his BS in Geology from UW-Green Bay and is experienced with hydrogeology, water quality and soils.
Ben Prchal joined our Planning Group in the Menomonie office as a Planner/Grant Administrator. Prchal has a BS in Community Planning and Land Use Management from UW-River Falls and has experience with various municipalities and county public works departments.
Roberta (Bobbie) Guest joins our Architectural Group as an Architectural Technician. Guest has a BS in Graphic Design from UW-Stout and Associate Degree in Architectural Commercial Design from WITC-Rice Lake and is experienced in AutoCAD and Revit.

Kevin Hankes, EIT, recently joined our Civil Group in our Menomonie Office as a Design Engineer. Mr. Hankes graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from UW-Platteville in 2010 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Math Education, Grades 6-12 from UW-Eau Claire in 2012. In his free time, Mr. Hankes enjoys sports of all types and playing the guitar.
Dustin LaBlonde, PLS, recently joined our Civil Group in our Menomonie Office as a Professional Land Surveyor. Mr. LaBlonde graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay, WI. In his free time, Mr. LaBlonde enjoys spending time with his family and the outdoors.
Josh Weiss, PE, recently joined our Structural/Transportation Group in our Madison Office as a Project Manager. Mr. Weiss graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from UW-Madison in 1999 and has 16 years of experience in all aspects of rural and urban highway design and project management. In his free time, Mr. Weiss enjoys spending time with his family.
Bill Betzig, PE, recently joined our Civil Group in our Madison Office as a Senior Project Manager. Mr. Betzig graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from UW-Platteville in 1987 and has 30 years of experience in the development of plans and specifications for roadways, multi-use paths, and utility improvement projects of various sizes and complexities. In his free time, Mr. Betzig enjoys golf, fishing and woodworking.

Cedar Corporation started with an office at 902 North Broadway, Menomonie, in 1975 with four employees and moved to 604 Wilson Avenue, Menomonie, in 1978 after purchasing the former Methodist Church. In 1993, the office underwent a major renovation, doubling in size. Offices in Green Bay and Madison were added in 2011, to offer expanded services across the Midwest.

Greg Adams recently joined our Civil Department in our Menomonie Office as a Senior Engineer. Mr. Adams graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 1993. In his free time, Mr. Adams enjoys spending time with his family, coaching the JV Soccer team at Baldwin-Woodville and playing guitar.

Sam Heimstead recently joined the Civil Engineering Team as a Survey/Engineer Technician. Mr. Heimstead graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying and Mapping Sciences from St. Cloud State University and an associate degree as a Land Surveyor Technician from Nicolet Area Technical College. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing and sports.
Nick Thompson is a new member of the Structural & Transportation Team as a Civil Engineering/Surveying Technician. Mr. Thompson has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Business from University of Wisconsin-Stout and an associate degree in Architectural Structural Design from Chippewa Valley Technical College. His free time is spent camping, biking and boating with his family.
Mark Woodcock is the newest member of the Architecture Team as an Architectural/BIM Technician. Mr. Woodcock is a recent graduate of Chippewa Valley Technical College with an associate degree in Architectural Structural Design and enjoys playing golf and basketball in his free time.
All three new staff members will be based out of the Menomonie office, while offering assistance statewide.
Scott McCurdy, former Director of Environmental and Building Design, and Dennis Steigenberger have accepted positions of Senior Advisor for Business and Staff Development utilizing their experience to assist the company in its management, promote client contact, mentor staff and provide technical assistance as needed.
Cory Scheidler, AIA Architect, has been named the Director of Architecture. Cory joined Cedar Corporation in 2001 and, using his background in structural engineering, has focused on architecture since 2004. His extensive experience in government facility and commercial development planning and design give him the background to lead the team working with a wide range of state, local and private sector clients. Cory is dedicated to his practice and community by serving as the Secretary / Treasurer for the Northwest Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and is an active member of the local Chamber of Commerce.
Mitch Evenson, CHMM, has accepted the position of Director of Environmental. Mitch joined Cedar Corporation in 1990 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Involved in the environmental and hazardous material management field for 28 years, his broad experience and specialization in environmental remediation design and construction management, leading design/construction teams and site project manager for a multitude of civil and environmental projects will continue to benefit the Environmental Group and Cedar clients.

Seth Hudson will be Cedar Corporation’s new Senior Manager of Economic & Community Development Services. With over 19 years of Economic and Real Estate Development experience in both the public and private sector markets, Mr. Hudson will be a part of expanding Cedar Corporation’s Economic and Community Development services for all current and future clients.
Seth will be based out of the Menomonie office, while offering assistance statewide.
Kristie Link is a new addition to the company’s Building Design team as an Architectural Technician. Graduating in 2009 with an Associate’s Degree in Architectural Commercial Design from WITC in Rice Lake, Link most recently worked for Menard’s Corp designing new Distribution Centers and additions to existing buildings. In her free time, she enjoys cross stitching and traveling.
