Environmental Scientist -- Introductory Level:
A forward thinking, hands on individual, who seeks experience in on-site management of chemical contamination remediation, Phase I assessments, ground and surface water sampling, air monitoring, wetlands identification, and non-metallic mining permitting, etc. This qualified individual (B.S.) will be located in our Menomonie office working with environmental scientists, geologists, hazardous materials managers, and engineers. The position will require the individual to work in a team atmosphere to develop necessary strategies for remedial action and implement these goals. Registration or eligibility for registration as a PE, PG, or CHMM a plus. The ideal candidate will have an innate desire to succeed in Technical Project Management and be personable to interact with clients. It is expected that there is a cursory understanding of Federal and State regulations, basic computer skills, and a desire to learn and work with regulatory agencies and clients. Some travel (typ. overnight) is necessary for this position. Applicants should possess a valid driver’s license, 40-hour Hazwhopper training, and an ability to operate and maintain scientific sampling devices. Strong technical writing and communication skills are required.

Architectural Position:
Cedar Corporation is seeking a self-motivated individual with a minimum of 3 years experience in commercial architecture to join our team at our Menomonie office. The position offers opportunities to work on diverse project types, including municipal, commercial, and educational projects throughout the Midwest. Qualified candidates shall be technically proficient and have a minimum of 3 years of actual experience in all phases of design and project development. The ideal candidate shall possess excellent organization and communications skills and enjoy working closely with project managers, clients, other staff and consultants.

Position responsibilities include:

" Preparing construction documents in both AutoCAD and Revit
" Preparing project manuals
" Conducting jobsite observations
" Processing submittals and addressing RFI's
" Providing building code analysis and interface with code officials
" Working closely with other disciplines to coordinate all aspects of design

Minimum qualifications:

" 3 years of architectural production experience
" Strong background in all types of commercial construction
" Thorough knowledge of building codes and standards
" Ability to work independently and in a team environment
" Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
" Proficient in MS Office
" Excellent communication and organizational skills
" Possess a minimum of a professional degree in Architecture or Associate Degree in Architectural or Structural Technologies with related experience.
